It is finally time for the long awaited Whine of The Week. I know you all have been waiting for this, so I am going to give my people what the want. (Another lesson in being fabulous: give the people what they want.)
Let's start our Weekly Whines out with something simple...eyeshadow that looks bright in the package and then when you go to put it on you have to LAYER that stuff on to get it that vibrant color. I am a fan of the bright colorful eyeshadow...blue, green, purple, teal...I love it! But when I put it on I always have to keep adding layers to make it bright enough! Grrr!!! (That is my angry growl.) So if anyone out there knows of a good bright eyeshadow I should try, please feel free to buy some for me as a gift. I love gifts! Just let me know and I will get my contact info for you so you can wrap it up and send it on over.

Have you tried putting a little foundation vaseline on before putting eyeshadow on. It helps with the color, especially the vaseline. If you don't have that, use that KY Jelly you all keep around for dry emergencies.
ReplyDeleteBrands that are marketed towards black women tend to use more pigment. I've had good luck there without spending a ton of money.
